Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering is one of the strengths of the Northwest Resource Center for Newcomers, which covers a large area from Haut-Madawaska to the Grand Falls region. Volunteers participate in various programs and services by giving of their time to help newcomers integrate into life in Northwestern NB. These dynamic and enthusiastic people get involved in different levels which are:

  • Pairing, reception and support

  • Activities

  • Language pairing and conversation groups

  • Media coverage

  • Board of directors

The volunteer is a pillar in our organization. Our mission and the work of the volunteers are aimed at seeing the successful integration of newcomers to the Northwest while promoting the creation of close ties with the people of the host community. All this while taking care to increase the visibility of the center and to guarantee its independence.
